Hayden Accepted for Science School!

Isis High Year 11 student, Hayden has been selected to participate in an elite science and maths four-day camp at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane during the June school holidays.

The camp will give just 120 top school students from throughout Queensland an opportunity to apply their creativity and investigative skills to a range of global challenges related to energy, food, the environment, IT and security.

Entry to the camp was hotly contested and QUT's Executive Dean of Science and Engineering, Professor Martin Betts, said the teenagers selected and their schools should be very proud of their involvement.

Hayden’s selection was well deserved as he has shown very high achievement in science and maths subjects and has a real desire to study science and engineering at a university level and go on to work in these areas.

This camp is fully funded and a great opportunity for some of the best Year 11 science and maths students in Queensland to get a better understanding of degrees and careers in these areas and meet professionals working in those industries.

Congratulations to Hayden on his selection and good luck for an enjoyable week of science and maths.
